How X-notes works
1. Connect your X identity
Connect through X before saving. Your stable account identity powers your notebook and ownership checks; X-notes never asks for your X password.
2. Leave the context where it belongs
Click the bottom-left notebook for the current page, or Add note on an individual post. Write your thought and Save. The selected source must be captured in full. If capture fails, your draft stays ready for Retry.
3. Come back, or search
A note-count badge shows saved context when you return. Your web notebook searches notes and captured source text, and Contacts groups people from your profile/post notes.
What pages are supported?
Public profiles and their tabs, posts, articles, hashtags, lists, searches, communities and normal public pages. DMs, settings, login/recovery and payment pages are excluded. Feed notes capture the page identity/query; individual posts/articles capture their full text and author/date.
What if a source disappears?
Your own note stays. Copied X text follows source edits, deletion and access changes, and may become unavailable in source search.
Who sees my notes?
Only you see your note text. Premium owners can see who took notes on their profile/posts; active paid note-takers can hide their identity, contributing only an anonymous count. Hiding ends automatically at paid expiry.
Install X-notes
Get the Chrome or Edge package from the installation page, then connect your X account. Your notebook also works on the web.
